Eldred Herbert

Mrs. Eldred Arlene Herbert was born in Crafts Cove on January 21, 1911; she was the daughter of the late Pomeroy Craft and Mercy (Mott) Craft.

Eldred was a well known poet and has had several books published. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

 

Eldred was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1988. She is survived by her son Harry and his wife Anne of Penobsquis, her sister Ruth Belding of North Carolina,

several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  

 

Mrs. Eldred Arlene Herbert of Kings Manor, Magnolia Ave., Sussex passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on February 9th, 2010 at the age of 99.

 

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), At Eldred’s request no visitation will be held.

 

A Celebration of Eldred’s life will be held from Wallace Community Church on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 2:00pm with Reverend Neville Gosman officiating.

 

There will be a time of fellowship with the family immediately following the service.
