Marie was born in Mill Cove on September 24, 1935,
Marie was the daughter of the late Walter Moss and
Stella (Moss) and was the wife of the late Dolphie
Ferris who passed away in 1969. She loved her
ornaments, a good cup of tea, roses and cooking. She
had a great sense of humor, she loved to laugh and
give a helping hand when ever she could. Her
favorite Scripture was the 23rd Psalm. Marie was a
loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Marie was very content with her life because if she
could live her life over again she wouldn't have
changed a thing. She was a former employee of Mill
Cove Nursing Home and a member of Mill Cove
Pentecostal Church.
Marie is survived by her daughter; Charlene
Stackhouse of Sussex, four sons; Paul Ferris and his
wife Nancy of Mill
Cove, Walter Ferris and his wife Debbie of Cambridge
Narrows, Gerald Allen and his wife Vicky of Mill
Cove, Michael Allen and his wife Heather of Nova
Scotia.
grandchildren:
Christopher Stackhouse, Shannon Dunton and her
husband Matthew, Shawn Ferris and Kelly McCutcheon,
Amanda Ferris and Jason Bedell, Kaitlyn and Kendra
Ferris, Jordon, Blaine and Kayden Allen, Chris,
Nick, Katheleen and John Allen.
great grandchildren:
Justice, Tyler, Samantha, Savannah, Marissa, Hailie,
Kaleb and Hayden;
eight sisters; Cora Clark and her husband Robert of
Sussex, Dorothy White and her husband Orville of
Quebec, Leta Kennedy and her husband Gordon of Kars,
Barbara Bond and Paul Chandler of Big Cove, Muriel
White and her husband Phillip of Big Cove, Marlene
Welton of Mill Cove, Dianne Vail and her husband
David of Oromocto and Bertha Dejeet and her husband
Alfred of Mill Cove;
five brothers: Ron Moss and his wife Thelma of
Sussex, Allen Moss and his wife Lois of Zealand,
Chester Moss and his wife Jean of NS, Everett Moss
and his wife Audrey of Woodstock, Harold Moss and
his wife Kathy of Hatfield's Point;
her brother-in-law, John Long and his wife Glenna of
Sussex, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Marie Rosella Ferris of Main Street Sussex passed
away at the Sussex Health Centre on Wednesday March
10th at the age of 74.
She was predeceased by her son Charles "Chuck" Allen
who passed away in 1994 at the age of 21, two
sisters: Lena Vail and Violet Long, two infant
sisters and two infant brothers; her son-in-law,
Terry Stackhouse and by Willis Allen in 2007.
