Irene Pearl Davis was born in Belleisle Creek on
December 16, 1927; she was the daughter of the late
Allen Northrup and Mae (Campbell) and was the wife
of the late Alvin Davis who passed away in 1979.
Irene took great pride in her family and enjoyed
spending time with them. She enjoyed her visitors
and would often say "What's the hurry?" when they
were getting ready to leave and she would begin a
new conversation. She was caring, loving and giving.
Her door was always open for a chat, place to stay
or simply a meal. She loved puzzles, knitting,
quilting and crafting. She loved going out with
Linda on Friday nights to the country music at the
Legion.
Irene would watch out the window daily for her
homemaker Lorraine to arrive and enjoyed her company
immensely. She always bragged about the places
Lorraine would take her, whether it would be
somewhere here in town or to the city. Irene was
always so proud of her latest up to date fashion,
wearing nothing but the "in" styles. Loving her
lipstick and makeup especially her bright pink
blush, she always called, her "rouge". Even when she
was in the hospital on her weakest days she would
always request her cream be lathered on her face to
help prevent her wrinkles. At age 82 she fought a
hard and tough battle fighting right to the end.
Irene was beautiful, intelligent, classy, strong and
stubborn woman who will be missed very much byanyone who had the privilege to know her.
