Mildred Kierstead

Mrs. Mildred Irene Kierstead of Kiwanis Nursing Home formerly of Berwick passed away at her residence on January 18, 2010 at the age of 85. Mildred volunteered countless hours at Betty Webb's special care home, enjoyed sewing, knitting and in her spare time she loved to quilt and she made sure all of her family have one. During her years at the Kiwanis Nursing Home she participated in as much as possible: she enjoyed bowling, manicures, bingo, sing-a-longs, day trips in the van and Sunday Church Service.

Mildred is survived by her daughter Heather Steeves and Calvin Griffith of Shepody, three sons: Paul and wife Heather of Parlee Brook; Gordon and his wife Sally of Wards Creek; Bruce and Lucie Bourque of Saint John; three sisters: Hazel Knowlton of Loch Lommond, Ruth Beshara and her husband George, Pat Beshara and her husband Ronald all of Gondola Point, her sister-in-law: Janet Kierstead of Martinon; her brother-in-law Rev.
