It is with great sadness that the family of Max Lawrence Lutz announce his passing on November 5 at the age of 82 in Sussex New Brunswick.
Max was born in Winnipeg Manitoba in 1938 and joined the RCMP in 1958. His first posting was in Jacquet River, where he met the love of his life Janet Ann. Other postings include Sussex, Saint John, Doaktown, Shediac, Oromocto, Hillsbourgh and finally returning to Sussex where he retired with 36 years of service. Max enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and was a die hard New England Patriots fan. He was a member of the Sussex Wesleyan Church and volunteered at the Sussex Parkinson’s chapter.
Max will be sadly missed by his 4 children: Blair (Mona) of Miramichi, Darryl of Edmonton Alberta, Neil (Gail) of Moncton and Margie Payne (Donnie) of Sussex. He is also survived by his brother Edwin of Eriksdale Manitoba, brother in law Rayburn (Della) Doucett of Jacquet River, 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including his special nephew Daniel Doucett of Halifax.
In addition to his parents, Max was predeceased by his wife of 54 years Janet Ann (Doucett); his brother Arthur Lutz and sister Dorothy Zasitko.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506)433-1176. The funeral service will be held at the Wallace Funeral Home Community Chapel on Monday, November 9th, 2020, at 11 am. Due to Covid-19, seating is limited to family.
