Obituary of Vernon Lloyd Pearson

 

Mr. Vernon Lloyd Pearson was born in Highfield, October 16, 1915;  he was the son of the late Roy and Laurena (Carmichael) Pearson.

 

Vernon was a Corporal during WWII. 8th Canadian Princess Louise, Hussars serving in Canada and overseas in England, Italy and North West Europe. After the war, he worked as a manager of the Liquor Control Board in Sussex for many years. Vernon was very active in sports and was the Manager of the Junior Hockey and Baseball Teams in Sussex. He held office in the Knights of Pythius, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20 and a member of the St. John's Anglican Church, Highfield.

 

Vernon will live on in the hearts of his brother, Malcolm and his wife Georgie of Sussex Corner and his sister, Grace Geldart and her husband Joseph of Sussex; as well as several extended family members.

 

Mr. Vernon Lloyd Pearson of Sussex, passed away at the Ridgewood Veterans Wing on October 21, 1993 at the age of 78.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176).  

A service celebrating Vernon's life was held from St. John's Anglican Church, Highfield on Saturday, October 23, 1993 with Rev. Titus officiating.
