Obituary of Pauline Muir

Mrs. Pauline Muir of Primrose Cottage in Millstream passed away at the Sussex Health Center on September 15, 2019 at the age of 92. Pauline was born in Collina, NB on August 1, 1927; she was the daughter of the late Earle and Emma (Ward) Stewart.

She worked for NBTel as an operator for many years, before moving on to work at the Sussex Health Center as a switchboard operator.

Pauline was very active in her church and community. She was a member of the Wesley United Church, Berwick, the Millstream Valley L.O.B.A., the Provincial Grand Lodge NB, the Berwick/Pearsonville UCW and the Berwick/Mount Middleton WI.

She had a love of quilting and travel; but her true passion in life was spending quality time with her family; especially teasing and spoiling her grandchildren. 

She will live on in the hearts of her daughter, Pam Muir and John Dysart; her son, Philip Muir and his wife Teri; her sisters: Shirley Howe, Celia Seymour and Carol Hayes; 7 grandchildren: Tracy Thomas and her husband Jason, Adam Beechin, Lyndsey McMillan and her husband Tony, Nathanial Hutchinson and Katie Bell, Hannah Muir-Hutchinson and Brandon Airut, Stephanie Bourque and her husband Jeremy and Justin Muir and Dr. Dasha Pons; 8 great grandchildren: Kalei, Danyelle, Haleigh, Desmond, Chase, Isabella, Anton and Nakita; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, George; her sister, Helen Stewart; her brothers: Ward Stewart, Merton Stewart and Cyril Stewart.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB, (506-433-1176) from where Visitation will be held on Friday, September 20, 2019 from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A Celebration of Pauline’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 11:00am.
