Obituary of Anna Josephine Thorne

It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Anna Josephine Thorne, wife of Otis Thorne which occurred on Friday, January 3, 2020, at the Sussex Health Centre. Born in Cody’s, NB, on June 5, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Carey and Levolia (Perry) Thorne. Anna is survived by her husband Otis, of 64 years; her son, Chris and his wife Rene of Sussex, NB; grandchildren; Tyler Thorne, Cody Thorne, Cameron Thorne, Brayden Oxford, Maisyn Thorne; brothers: Arnold Thorne and his wife Barb of Sussex, NB, Arthur Thorne (Cheryl Dempster) of Cambridge Narrows, NB, Carl Thorne and his wife Irene of Quispamsis, NB; as well as several nieces and nephews. Anna was a member of the Cody's Baptist Church, as well as the Cody's Women’s Institute. She, like her husband, Otis took great pride in her church. Anna enjoyed people and friends who came to her home. There was always something to eat before they left. She had a heart of gold and would do anything to help others. She loved to go to the jam sessions to listen to music and socialize with friends. Anna loved her garden, her flowers, but most of all, her love for her family always came first. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 6, 2020 at 2:00pm from Cody’s United Baptist Church. Donations in memory of Anna, may be made to the charity of your choice. Condolences to the family and donations may be made through WallaceFuneralHome.com
