Marguerite Helen Skovmand of Moncton, wife of the late G. Harold Skovmand, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Trueman and Helen (Colpitts) Copp. Marguerite graduated from the Provincial Normal School in 1944, and subsequently taught school for a number of years. Her talents in teaching carried through in sharing her deep beliefs in God and helping others to understand Bible teachings. In her spare time, she enjoyed crossword puzzles and music, working with her prize-winning cactus gardens, and watching older movies. Marguerite is survived by her son, Eric Skovmand of Amherst, NS; a brother, Donald Copp (Rena) of Quispamsis; a nephew, Stephen Copp (Deborah) of Quispamsis; and several grand nieces and nephews. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 1-3 pm. There will be a celebration of Marguerite`s life from Wallace Community Chapel immediately following at 3:00pm.
