Marion Sheehan

Obituary of Marion Louise Sheehan

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Marion Louise Sheehan, of Coles Island, announce her passing at the Sussex Health Center on April 17, 2020 at the age of 69. Marion always enjoyed life and most usually was known as the life of the party in her younger years. She loved spending time with her family. She took many road trips with her Sister, and partner in crime, Valerie and loved to tell the stories about the times they shared. She enjoyed taking turns spending Christmas between Tommy and Cindy's houses during the past few years and always was like a kid herself at Christmas time. She loved when her daughters Lisa and Melinda came home to New Brunswick to visit and she got to spend some time with them. She also very much enjoyed her visits from her sister, Irene. Marion loved to talk on the phone and would generally call her friends and children at least once a week. She liked to keep in touch with them and find out what was new in their life. Marion lived in Saint John for quite a few years of her life, but Coles Island was always home to her. She had two very special homemakers who she considered family as well. Bonnie Loughery of Salt Springs was her friend and home care worker while she lived in Norton and Julia Klassen was her very special home care worker up until she went to the Hospital while she lived in Coles Island. She was happy to spend time with Julia and make their trips to Sussex for groceries and errands. The family would very much like to thank both ladies for everything they did for Marion during their time with her. It took a huge weight off their shoulders to know that their Mother was in good hands with these ladies. Mrs. Marion Louise Sheehan was born in Sussex on April 9, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Gordon Henderson and Evelyn (Adams) Trites. She will live on in the hearts of her children: Cynthia Black and her husband Randal of Mill Cove, N.B., Lisa Sheehan and Lewis Mcrae of Winthrop, ON, Tommy Sheehan and Shannon Stevens of Coles Island, N.B., and Melinda Patterson and her husband Simon of Myrnam, AB; her grandchildren: Michelle, Brooklyn, Lucas, Evan, Misty-Dawn, Terri-Lynn, Kayla, Brittany, Stephanie, Jessica (John), Brandon, Bradley, Ethan, Alexys, Dustin and Danielle; her great grandchildren: Riley, Jacob, Hank, Broden, Cayson, Paige, Parker, Hunter and Hayden; her sisters: Irene Evans and her husband Frasier and Valerie Henderson; her nieces: Samantha, Charity and Crystal and her nephew Derek. Marion was predeceased by the father of her children and love of her life: Charlie Sheehan as well as two Grandchildren: Tiffany and Jacklynn. She is in the sun, the wind, the rain. She is in the air you breathe with every breath you take. She sings a song of hope and cheer. There is no more pain, no more fear. You will see her in the clouds above, hear her whisper words of love, you’ll be together before long, until then listen for her song. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Wallace Funeral Home. A private internment will take place at Coles Island Cemetery at a later date due to the current circumstances. For those that wish, remembrances can be made to a Charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences to the family and donations may be made through WallaceFuneralHome.com
