Obituary of Glendon William Ewart

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Glendon “Glen” William Ewart, age 76, of Sussex Corner, NB, husband of Jean Ewart announces his death which occurred on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Sussex Health Centre.  He was born on December 7, 1943 in Waterborough, NB, a son of the late William and Bertha (Wiggins) Ewart.

Glen served 15 years in the Canadian Armed Forces as a communications research specialist in Cyprus, Egypt and Alert.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Ewart; his daughters Lorie Brown (Kevin) of Saint John, NB and Jennifer Nelson (Jeff) of Quispamsis, NB; step daughter Amber Douthwright (Curt) of Roachville, NB; grandchildren: Meghan Ross, Jackson Brown, Dylan Nelson, Meara Nelson, Elliot Matchett; great-grandchildren Riley Ross and Brooklyn Ross; Brother Doug Ewart and his wife Linda of Saint John, NB; Sister Nancy Steele and her husband Jack of Saint John, NB; extended family Jillian (Matt) Fortier as well as several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, Glen was also predeceased by his sister Reta Stenhouse.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 2-4pm. A Celebration of Glen’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 2:00pm. Due to Covid-19 all arrangements will be held by INVITATION ONLY.

Donations in memory of Glen may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Legion or to the memorial of the donor’s choice. Condolences to the family and donations may be made through WallaceFuneralHome.com
