Obituary of Joanne Elizabeth (Huestis) Floyd

It is with deepest sadness that the family of Joanne Elizabeth (Huestis) Floyd announce her passing on Saturday December 5, 2020 at the Sussex Health Centre at the age of 69.

Joanne cared for many children over the years. They all meant the world to her and she cherished each, as if they were her own.

She later decided to re-enter the work force, where she met a lot of great people over her 19-year career at Sussex Tire.

Joanne was actively involved in St. John’s United Church and a lifetime member of NBWI; as well as a long-time member of TOPS.

She loved to sew and quilt, bake with her grand daughter and spend time with her family and friends. She was always there for anyone who needed help or to volunteer her time to help with church suppers or events.

Joanne is survived by her husband, Gordon Floyd; her two daughters: Sally Keddy (Gary) of Belleisle Creek and Sandra Huestis of Fredericton; her brother, Charles Anderson (Roben) of Wards Creek; her granddaughter, Sarah Keddy who was the apple of her eye; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her infant son, Ronald Douglas Huestis; her parents: Willis and Marion Anderson and by her infant brother, Beverly Anderson.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 5-8pm.
