Obituary of Harold Douglas Brown

Mr. Harold Douglas Brown was born in Newcastle Creek on March 15, 1945, he was the son of the late Hayward Melvin and Clara Agnes (Barton) Brown.

Harold had a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting. He was a hard-working man, he worked for pumper, ran bulldozer, was a dragline operator, worked for Galbraith Construction and worked for NB Coal for 27 years. He loved his family and was the give the shirt off his back kind of man. He will be dearly missed.

He will live on in the hearts of his daughter, Lori Brown and Mark Hall of Sussex; his wife, Geraldine Brown of Sussex; his sisters: Linda Brown of Cumberland Bay, Darlene Burton of Cumberland Bay, Valerie Howe of Sussex, Dorothy Ryder and her husband Wayne of Chipman and Della Ryder and her husband Brian of Waterborough; his sister-in-law, Tina Brown of Mill Cove; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Harold Douglas Brown of Sussex, passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on April 11, 2021 at the age of 76.

Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers: Kenneth Brown and Melvin Brown.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A service celebrating Harold’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 2:00pm. Due to Covid-19 please call the funeral home to reserve your seat. The interment will take place in Roachville Cemetery at a later date.
