Obituary of Ian Hazen Virtue

It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Ian Virtue, 55, of Penobsquis, on July 7, 2021. Born in Sussex, he was a son to the late Bennie Virtue (2020) and Donna (Bartlett) Virtue.

Ian is survived and sadly missed by his mother, Donna Virtue of Penobsquis; his girlfriend, Shelly Wright of Hampton; his son, Andrew Loughery (Ember) of Rusagonis; his brothers, Richard (Shirley) Virtue of Knightville and Anthony (Iva) Virtue of Saint John; his sisters, Patricia Virtue of Sundry, AB and Mary-Ann (Frankie) Kowalchuk of Edmonton; his grandchildren, Logan and Mikeala as well as several nieces and newphews.

Ian was predeceased by his father, Bennie Virtue; his brothers, Eric Virtue, Bennie Virtue Jr and his sisters, Mary-Ellen Virtue and Brenda Skoglund.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). A graveside service celebrating Ian’s life will be held on July 13, 2021, from Kirk Hill Cemetery at 1:00pm.
