Obituary of Eric Lyle Mullin

Eric Lyle Mullin of Knightville, New Brunswick passed away peacefully at the Sussex Health Centre at the age of 47, on January 3, 2006, surrounded by the love and support of family and friends. Born in Leamington, Ontario a son of Gerald “Jake” Mullin and the late Norma Mullin. Eric spent most of his life in the Sussex area. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and one of the “Chosen Few”. He received a great deal of enjoyment from riding his 1967 Triumph and his last ride was the Mullin's Mile accompanied by family and friends. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. Eric will be remembered for his kindness, joy of life, story-telling, humour and generosity of spirit. He had been employed with the Department of Transportation in Sussex. He is survived by his father, four sisters; Elaine Hale (Ross) and Linda Mullin of Chatham, ON, Marjorie Mullin of Saint John and Debbie McCready (Bill) of McGregor Brook, NB and three brothers; Ron (Shirley) Mullin of Dutton, ON, Leigh (Shelley) Mullin of Knightville and Paul Mullin of Leamington, ON. Eric is also survived by his uncles Chester Mullin of Edmonton, Dale Mullin (Jackie) of Quispamsis and his aunts; Gwen Walsh (Ron) of West Lorne, ON, Alma Alexander of St. Hubert, PQ and Dulcie Stewart of Oakville, ON. Eric loved his many nieces and nephews and enjoyed sharing his passion for life with all of them. Eric was predeceased by his mother Norma in 2000 and brothers Terry in 1994 and Owen in 2004. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday January 7, 2006 at St. Mark's Anglican Church, Sussex Corner at 1:30 PM. Interment will be at Gosline Cemetery, Knightville. Remembrances made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. www.sussexfh.com
