Obituary of David Steeves

1965-2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Steeves, 56, of Sussex, NB on Friday, March 18, 2022. He was a son of the Late Gerald Steeves and the Late Marilyn Steeves.

Dave was a self-employed cabinet maker and master carpenter and will be remembered for his passion for his woodworking and fine finish work. He was a quiet, patient, and tremendously kind and generous man with a big heart. He liked to please and never spoke a negative word about anyone. He had a love for snowmobiling, four wheeling, and loved to be surrounded by nature.

Above all, he had an amazing love for his friends and family. Dave will be deeply missed by his wife, Diane; his son, Matthew (Breagha) of Saint John, and daughter, Amanda of Sussex; his brother, Doug, and sister, Sandra; his special mother-in-law, Anna; his brother-in-law, Randy (Karen), and Terry (Pat), and also his beloved cat, Patches. He is also survived by several uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). A visitation will take place from the Wallace Community Chapel on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8pm. There will be no public funeral service. A private internment will be held at Hillside Cemetery, Elgin, at a later date..

Donations in memory of David may be made to the Hillside Cemetery Fund or a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and donations may be made through wallacefuneralhome.com
