Aubrey "Al" Kirkpatrick

Obituary of Aubrey "Al" Kirkpatrick

It is with great sadness that the family of Aubrey “Al” William Kirkpatrick announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 17, 2022 at the age of 89. He was the son of the late Russell and Tressa (Ready) Kirkpatrick.

Al was Classic. He had an impeccable sense of style and always prided himself on looking his best. He was part of the fondest memories of his family. Remembered as a man with a quick wit and a love for making others laugh. He had a larger-than-life personality and never lost his positive attitude.

He was a generous soul and enjoyed doing for those he loved, whether it was simple treats or always bringing a little something when he visited; his family and friends were very important to him, especially his nieces and nephews.

As a young man, he went “down the road” with buddies and when they reached Toronto he decided to stay. This is where he built his life and married the love of his life, Donna. Every Summer, they would make their way home for visit, which he greatly looked forward to. At the end of his visit there were no goodbyes, Al just could not bare to say Goodbye. In 2007 they moved to Saint John where they would reside until Al’s passing.

Al had a passion for the water, even at a young age he could be found in Cassidy Lake and later also in the backyard pool. He also loved fishing and golfing.

He will live on in the hearts of his loving wife, Donna; his sisters: Dorothy Floyd (late Earl) of Sussex and Katherine Willie and her husband Al of Sussex; his sister-in-law, Marilyn Agnew and her husband Mark of Hamilton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Leonard.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). All Arrangements will be held privately.

If you are considering making a memorial donation the family has recommended the Southfield Cemetery.  Condolences to the family and donations may be made through WallaceFuneralHome.com
