Obituary of James Arthur Keith

It is with great sadness that the family of Jim Arthur Keith of Belleisle Creek, announces his unexpected passing, which occurred on September 17, 2022 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

Jim is survived by his partner of 15 years, Debbie McFarlane, of Belleisle Creek, NB; his father, Arthur Keith of Havelock, NB; his sisters: Delores (Perry) Thorbourne of Alberta, and Ellen Keith of Sussex, NB; his brother, Calvin (Jean) Keith of Bloomfield, NB; his son, Jimmy Keith of Hampton, NB; his daughter, Lisa Marie of Nova Scotia; his stepson, Mark Parlee; his chosen daughters: Denise (Michael) Winchester of Apohaqui, and Jodi Mc Farlane of Airdrie, AB.  He was a proud “Papa” to: Jemma, Morgan Winchester and her wife, Alyssa of Ottawa, ON, Dakota Winchester of Ottawa, ON, Lachlan McFarlane and Sloan and Braxton McFarlane-Heinz, all of Airdrie, AB.  James is also survived by several of his aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Along with his mother, Elsie (Cruickshank) Keith, Jim was predeceased by his infant son, Michael.

Jim’s chosen profession was carpentry. He was renowned for his excellent craftsmanship and took great pride in his work.

Jim was born on November 17, 1957 and spent his early years in Rothesay. Jim also leaves behind his best buddy, Jaxx, who won’t know who to bark at demandingly every night for his bedtime treat. Needless to say, Jim was a great animal lover. He was also a quiet, gentle, and loving man who would gladly help anyone in need. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing his guitar and singing, watching NASCAR, photography, and camping.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, September 25, from 2-5 pm at the Wallace Community Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of James be made to the Helping Hearts Cat Rescue, Heart & Stroke Foundation, or a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and donations may be made through wallacefuneralhome.com
