Mr. Everett Douglas Smith of Waterford Rd. Dutch Valley, passed away at his residence on July 27, 2006 at the age of 71. Born in Penobsquis, NB on April 6, 1935, he was the son of the late Otty and Edna Beatrice (Colpitts) Smith. Everett is survived by Wilma (Price)his beloved wife of 44 years, his son, Roger and his wife Nova-Lee of Sussex Corner; two sisters: Ida Brooks and Dorothy Leach both of Sussex; two grandsons, Shane and Shawn, as well as several nieces and nephews. Everett was predeceased by his brothers: Frank, Ralph and Donald and by his sister, Viola Buchanan. He was a carpenter with Brunswick Lab for 35 years and retired at the age of 59. He loved four wheeling, hunting, fishing and spending time at his camp in Picadilly Everett loved country music especially Hank Williams and George Jones, and enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Saturday evening from7-9, Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Calvary Pentecostal Church on Monday, July 31, 2006 at 11:00 am with Pastor Troy Campbell officiating.
