Obituary of Ellery McKay

Mr. Ellery Alexander McKay of 649 Cherryvale Rd, Canaan Forks, NB passed away at Moncton Regional Hospital on April 20, 2005 at the age of 76. Born in Hayesville NB on May 03, 1928, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Margaret (Palmer) McKay and the beloved husband of the late Carol Ann (Currie) Paterson who passed away in 1992. Ellery is survived by his children; Dwaine McKay and his wife Ruth, Sherry McKay, Keith McKay and his wife Dawn, Connie Stewart and her husband John, Dawn Fullarton and her husband Don, Kimberly White and her husband Garth all of Fredericton, Stephen McKay, Dale Paterson and his wife Kenda, Dwight Paterson and his wife Melissa, Kimberley Paterson all of Canaan, Rodney Paterson and his wife Vicky of Sussex, Jackie Paterson of Salisbury, Lynn Pretty and her husband Don and Linda Pitcher and her husband Dale, both of Ontario, 2 brothers; Arnold McKay and his wife June of British Columbia and Harland McKay and his wife Peggy of Hayesville, his sister; Carly Colwell and her husband Laurin of Fredericton, 44 grandchildren; Tammy, Thomas, Shannon, Billy Jo, Ashley, Gail, Kevin, Cindy, Ronnie, Todd, Angie, Jason, Natalie, Shawn, Holly, Samantha, Cory, Amanda, Jeri-Lynn, Kyle, Tasha, Rayelle, Kali, Robert, Nicholas, Rebecca, Brandon, Kristopher, Tara, Scott, Tamara, George, Ryan, Joshua, Jolene, Brady, Michael, Bryan, Tiffany, Shannon, Blake, MacKenzie, Tina and Wesley and 22 great grandchildren; Alisha, Miranda, Bradley, Brianna, Mchalia, Zachery, Joseph, Shannon, Nicholas, Taylor, Marcie, Courtney, Alex, Haley, Brittany, Katelyn, Dayton, Dakota, Brock, Trystan, Autumn and Chesley. 2 sisters-in-law; Linda Bates and her husband Rick of Belleisle and Karen and her husband Jamie Corey of Cornhill. As well as several nieces and nephews. Ellery is predeceased by his brother Everett. Ellery was a retired from J.D. Irving Ltd. He enjoyed Salmon fishing, hunting and the car races. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Friday 2-4, 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 4:00 pm. Interment will take place at the Bloomfield Ridge United Church Cemetery, Boiestown, NB.
