Obituary of Stella Todd

Mrs. Stella May Todd of Cambridge Narrows, NB passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital on April 17, 2005 at the age of 76. Stella was born in Coles Island, NB on October 22, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Clara (Wiggins) Starkey. Stella is survived by her beloved husband Winston, two daughters; Helen Kennedy of Youngs Cove and Coleen Krampl and her husband Robert of Crossfield, Alberta. Her four sons; Wayne Kennedy and his wife Donna of Cumberland Bay, Donald Kennedy and Susan of Youngs Cove, Barry Kennedy and his wife Lorna of Calgary and Alan Kennedy and his wife Sylvia of Bloomfield. Stella is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Lise Kennedy of Quispamsis, her step-son, Donald Todd and wife Robin of Bedford, NS, two step-daughters; Catherine Logue and her husband Jaime of Orleans, Ont. and Susan Anderson and her husband Arnold of Cedar Camp, NB., as well as by her brother, Albert Starkey of Saint John, her sister, Olive Cleveland and her husband Donald of Windsor, NS, 18 grandchildren; Angela, Lisa, Hazen Jr., April, Tracey, Christa, Teagan, Luke, Zane, Dennis, Benjamin, Sarah, Jordan, Jake, Krista, Katelin, Maggie, Robbie, six great grand-children; Kelsey, Corey, Marissa, Jarrett, Trent, Tanner, nine step grandchildren; Jason, Andrew, Kristen, Adam, Andrew, Scott, Liam, Jonathon, Elizabeth, her step great Grandson; Liam. Stella was predeceased by 2 brothers; Archie and Leo Starkey and by her son Hazen Kennedy. Stella was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Waterborough Branch # 60 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved sewing, knitting, and in the quilting world she was known for her many special quilts. She received many awards for her quilting and unofficially Stella was the Year of the Child quilter in 1979. Stella loved flowers, both outdoor gardening and house plants. She enjoyed music, dancing and traveling. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Monday 7-9, Tuesday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service will be from Youngs Cove United Church on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at 2:30 pm with Rev. Jennifer Brown officiating. Interment at Youngs Cove United Church Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Youngs Cove United Church or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
