Obituary of James Wynter

Mr. James Wynter of Sussex, the son of the late Nick and Mary (Ferguson) Wynter, born in Brockville, Ontario on November 21, 1936. Jim passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on September 8, 2004 at the age of 67. He is survived by his beloved wife Gloria (Hastings), 2 daughters, Keri Walker of Sussex Corner and her friend Paul Marr, Tia Forsythe and her husband Mark of Ottawa, his son, Andrew and his wife Beth of Moncton, his sister, Kathleen Kramer of Medicine Hat, his brother, Jack and his wife Jean of Ottawa, as well as 5 grandchildren Liam, Anna, Fiona, Alexander and Olivia, and 5 nieces, Debra, Susan, Cindy, Nancy and Tracy. Jim left advertising in Montreal to come to Sussex where he owned & operated Sussex Motel & Cabins until 1983. Over the course of the next several years Jim sold real estate for Gardiner Realty, worked in the advertising department of the Telegraph Journal and subsequently retired from New Brunswick Tourism and Grading. Jim was a member and Past President of the Sussex Rotary Club, a member and past director of Sussex and District Chamber of Commerce, a member of Country Living Days Committee and St. Paul's United Church. After Jim's retirement his family and grandchildren were everything to him. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Thursday 7-9. The Funeral Service will be from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Friday, September 10, 2004 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Philip Dallimore officiating. A Private Family Interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations made to the NB Lung Association, the Rotary Foundation or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
