Obituary of Reg Goddard

Reg Goddard of Penobsquis, NB, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre, on July 26, 2002. Born in Penobsquis, NB on June 25, 1936. Reg was the son of the late Russell and Rhoda Alice (Munro) Goddard. He is survived by his wife Shirley (Mallery) Goddard, his daughter Madelene Walton and her husband Richard of Penobsquis, his son Terry and his wife Lori of Penobsquis, 2 sisters; Darlene Hector and her husband Ivan of Oromocto, Fay Leslie and her husband Jim of Lawrencetown, NS, 2 brothers; Travis and his wife Donna of Sussex, Ensley and his wife Gwen of Youngs Cove, 4 grandchildren, Tanya, Dereck, Ryan, and Jennifer, a special son Steve Kingston of Penobsquis, as well as several nieces and nephews. Reg was a Truck Driver most of his life and has driven for Canada Packers, Ryan's Construction, Kearns Bakery, RST Transport Ltd. Flintco, and Springdale Sand and Gravel. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing his guitar, cards and spending time with his family and friends. Reg Goddard Reg Goddard He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20 who will hold a tribute on Sunday evening at 6:45pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Dr. Sussex, (506) 433-1176 from where visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral service will be held from Penobsquis United Baptist Church on Monday, July 29, 2002 at 2:00pm with Pastor Gordon Walker officiating. Anne Williams will provide the Musical Selections. The Interment will be in Cardwell Cemetery, Penobsquis. There will be a time of fellowship with the family following the committal service in the Church Hall. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to the NB. Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
