Obituary of Beverly Manning

Mr. Beverly (Bev) Edgar R. Manning, of Sussex, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on July 12, 2002. Born in Sussex, NB on May 18, 1932, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Elsie May (Sear) Manning. He is survived by Anne (Cosman) Manning his beloved wife of 49 years, 2 daughters Susan MacNichol and her husband Brian of Sussex, Heather Magee and her husband Bill of Grand Bay ? Westfield, his son John and Patty Reid of Sussex, daughter-in-law Norma Manning of Sussex, his brother, Bob & Edris Manning of Dutch Valley, 3 sisters Evelyn MacDougal and her husband Mac of Port Hope, Ont., Mary Donnachie and her husband Bill Cambridge, Ont., Betty Roberts Ottawa, 2 grandchildren Christopher and Linda MacNichol, several nieces and nephews. Bev was predeceased by 3 brothers George, John and Harry and by a sister Ruth Ellison. Beverly (Bev) Edgar R. Manning Bev was retired from NB Power after 31 years. He was a member of the Sussex Volunteer Fire Department for 47 years. Bev was Fire Chief for the past 16 years. He was a member of the Sussex Lions Club, St. Paul's United Church, The Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20, and an Active Red Cross Blood Donor. The Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20 will hold a memorial tribute on Monday at 6:45 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Sunday 7-9, Monday 2-4,7-9. The Funeral Service will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Tuesday, July 16, 2002 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Hubert Bartlett officiating. A private family interment will take place in Kirk Hill Cemetery.
