Obituary of Murray Cooper

Murray Cooper, of Arlington, USA, and formerly of the Head of Millstream, passed away at his residence the Waban Health & Rehabilitation Center on June 23, 2002 Born in Montreal, Quebec on October 10, 1919, he was the son of the late Malcolm and Mabel (Hayes) Cooper. Murray is survived by his beloved wife Sadie G. (Wibberley) Cooper, his daughter Georgina Cooper of Arlington, Mass, 2 sons Wayne of Arlington Mass and Ian of Rothesay, his sister Edna Embree, 7 grandchildren Wayne, Nena, Rhiannon, Daniel, Ian, John and Katie, several nieces and nephews. Murray was predeceased by his son Daniel who passed away in 1980 and a grandson Murray. Murray was a veteran of Carleton and York Regiment, first division Canadian Army, served overseas from 1939-1945. He was a flooring contractor in the Boston area for over 45 years. He enjoyed gardening and hunting. Murray Cooper Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) . The funeral Service will be held from Wesleyan Church, Head of Millstream on Sunday, June 30, 2002 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Peter Hayes officiating. Interment at Wesleyan Cemetery. We wish to express our heart felt thanks to the many friends, extended family, Rev. Peter Hayes, Mary Bickerton, Herb Nagle and the other members of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20, for all their support, kindness and sympathy at this time.
