Obituary of Malcolm Pearson

Malcolm (Mac) Murray Pearson of First St., Sussex Corner, NB, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre, on June 16, 2002. Born in Highfield, NB on October 26, 1919, he was the son of the late Roy and Laurena (Carmichael) and the beloved wife of 59 years to Georgie nee-Sprague. Mac is also survived by his son Earl and Lisa Ferris of Highfield, his daughters Donna Northrup and her husband Doug of Pleasant Ridge, Janet Main and her husband Stephen of Sussex, his sister Grace Geldart and her husband Joe of Sussex. 7 grandchildren Stephen Pearson and his wife Laurie of Fredericton, Jacquelyn Perry and her husband Wayne of Codys, Jennifer Anderson and her husband Mark of Truro, NS, Lisa King and her husband Dan of Quispamsis, Jeff Northrup and Stacy Jardine of Saint John and Stephanie and Kristen Main of Sussex, 4 great grandchildren Courtney, Cody, Simon and Grace, several nieces and nephews. Mac was predeceased by his brother Vernon in 1993. Mac was a shipping clerk at Barbour Foods and retired in 1984. His wife, family and friends were very dear to him. He will always be remembered as a perfectionist. He was dedicated, kind, gentle, quiet, loyal and dignified. He enjoyed farming, woodworking, the outdoors, hunting, sports, lawn darts, croquet, cards and researching family history. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, Sussex, from where visitation will be held on Monday evening from 7-9, Tuesday 2-4, 7-9. Funeral service will be held from St. Paul's United Church on June 19, 2002 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Hubert Bartlett officiating. St. Paul's United Church Choir and Organist Karen Gallagher will provide the musical selections
