Obituary of Barbara Kyle

Mrs. Barbara Charlotte Kyle, of 55 Queen St., Sussex, NB passed away at Sussex Health Centre on March 22, 2002. Barb was born in Caterham, Surrey, England on January 29, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Capt. Roderick and Sarah (Hillman) MacKenzie and the beloved wife of the late Ernest R. Kyle who passed away in 1984. Barb is survived by two Sons Rod Kyle and his wife Nowell of Roachville and Jerry at home, three daughters Dora McDermott and her husband Jim of Fox Hill, Judi Kyle of Quispamsis and Sally Kierstead and her husband Gordon of Wards Creek, her brother Rick MacKenzie and her sister Joan Forrester both of England. Twelve grandchildren Barbie, Ernie, Cathy, Tracy, Shawn, Karlia, Bruce, Dwight, Justin, Jarred, Aaron and Michael, ten great grand children Justin, Brittney, Kelsey, Krista, Kyle, Peter, Breanne, Tempest, Christopher and Dylan as well as several nieces and nephews. Barb was predeceased by an infant daughter Marguerite, her son Ken who passed away in 1992, her daughter-in-law Paula in 1996 and by two sisters Sally Jones and Roddie Mousseau, and by her brother Ken MacKenzie. Barb was a foster parent for more than 20 years. She was an attendant at Frank S. Keirstead School for over 16 years. She was a member of the Sussex War Brides, New Brunswick War Brides Association, a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Lower Millstream United Baptist Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Sunday 2-4, 7-9. Funeral Service will be held from Lower Millstream United Baptist on Monday, March 25, 2002 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Allison MacLean officiating. Interment to follow at Kirk Hill Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetic or the memorial of the donors choice.
