Obituary of Lulu Eldridge

LULU LOVENIA ELDRIDGE, of the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, New Brunswick passed away at her residence on February 20, 2002. Lulu was born in Centreville, NB on July 2, 1907 and was the daughter of the late Abram L. and Sarah (Goddard) Parlee. She was the beloved wife of the late Herbert J. Eldridge who passed away on March 18, 1977. Lulu is survived by her brother, George Parlee and his wife Sadie of Apohaqui, 2 sisters, Louise Lockhart of Bathurst, Marjorie Simpson and her husband Ernest of Keirstead Mt., her sister-in-law, Victoria Parlee of Fox Hill, 5 step grandchildren all of Ontario, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lula was predeceased by her step-daughter, Elsie (Eldridge) Reid, her brother Nelson Parlee, 3 sisters, Florence Chown and her husband Edward, Mabel Chown and her husband Myles and Dorothy (Callaghan) McFarlane and her husband Ralph. Lulu Eldridge Lulu was a retired school teacher having taught for many years. She was a member of the Apohaqui United Baptist Church and the (RNBTA) Retired New Brunswick Teachers Association. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Friday 1-4 and Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 23, 2002 at 2:00 pm, with Rev. Kevin Vincent and Rev. Allison McLean officiating. Interment will take place at Riverbank Cemetery in the spring. Donations made to the Apohaqui Community Church, Alzheimer Society, Arthritis Society or the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
