Obituary of Alfred Taylor

Mr. Alfred James (Dusty) Taylor, of Sussex, NB passed away after a lengthy illness at Sussex Health Centre on January 20, 2002. Dusty was born in Harewood, NB on March 28, 1923. He was the son of the late Ray and Ida (Budd) Taylor who passed away in 1976. In 1996 Dusty lost his long time companion Lella Parlee whom he loved and dearly missed. He is survived by his sister-in-law Florence Taylor of Boundary Creek, 19 nieces and nephews, several cousins and Lella's 3 daughters: Angela Moore and her husband Gary of Saint John, Janice Morrison and her husband David of Berwick and Joanne Dorie of Sussex Corner. Dusty was also predeceased by 3 brothers George, Ernest and Tuttle (Joe) and by 2 sisters Myrtle Steeves and Hazel Demont, and a nephew Sterling Taylor. He was a retired employee of the Town of Sussex and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20 who will hold a tribute on Monday evening at 6:45pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where the family will be receiving relatives and friends on Monday 2-4,7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Abundant Life Pentecostal Church on Tuesday, January 22, 2002 at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Dennis Munn, officiating. Interment will take place at Pioneer Cemetery. Donations made to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
