Vera Ethelda Myers - Jenkins, of Sunnyside Dr. Sussex, New Brunswick passed away at Sussex Health Centre on November 19, 2000. Born in Oyster Pond, Jeddore, Halifax Co. NS on August 20, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Ervin and Ethelda (Stoddard) Myers. Vera was a Procurement Supervisor with the Dept. of National Defense (Navy). in Shearwater NS and later transfered to Ottawa where she retired after 30 years service. Vera was a past member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Halifax, NS She was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, Jeddore, NS The Myers Homestead in Oyster Pond, Jeddore, NS is now the "Fishermans Museum" Vera is survived by Donald Jenkins, 5 Sisters Dorothy Harding of Vancouver, BC, Frances Royds of Kitchener, Ont. Inez Watts of Florida, Gwendolyn Moore and her husband Jim of Burlington, Ont., Jean Webber of Dartmouth, NS, several nieces and nephews. Vera was predeceased by her sisters Marion Myers, Ida Bonn, Audrey Brown, Margaret Leslie, Winnifred Day, Rita Russell and a sister in infancy.
