Obituary of Helen Sear

Helen Sear was born in Smith Creek on October 1, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Odgen) McAuley and was the wife of the late George Sear. Helen is a retired School Teacher having taught in the Sussex area for many years, she was a member of St. Pauls United Church, UCW, and was also Past Grand Mistress and Life Member of the LOBA as well as Volunteered for the Red Cross. Mrs. Helen Sophia Sear of Sussex, NB, passed away on February 7, 2000 at the age of 90. Helen will be remembered by her daughter; Betty Hudson and her husband Stewart of Moncton, NB her Son; Robert Sear and his wife Alice of Mar, Ontario her brother; William McAuley and his wife Hazel of St. Andrews, NB; five grandchildren; Sherill, Sharon, Karyn, Rodney, Beth; eight great grandchildren; Shannon, Elizabeth, Ryan, Meagan, Katelyn, Curtis, Jenecca, Aleksandra; and by several nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by two brothers; Charlie and Alfred and by his two sisters; Elizabeth Graves and Hazel Lodge. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A service celebrating Helen Sophia's life will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Thursday, February 10, 2000 at 11:00 am.
