Obituary of Murray Goggin

Murray Goggin was born in Millstream on June 15, 1916, he was the son of the late Frederick Goggin and Jessie Livingston and was the wife of the late Frances (Parlee) Goggin. Murray was employed with Unemployment Insurance Commission for over 30 years and retired in 1977 as Regional Director. Murray served in the Army overseas during WWII He was a Member and Past President of Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch # 6 and a member of Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch # 20, he was Past President of the Maple Leaf Zone Senior Citizens Association, He was also a member of Knights of Columbus Sussex Valley Council # 3213. Mr. Murray E. Goggin of Summerfield, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on December 4, 1999 at the age of 83. Murray will be remembered by her two daughters; Susan Miller of Moncton, Janet Robinson and her husband Doug of Sackville, NB; four sons; John of Fredericton, Bob and his wife Marielle of Fredericton, Ken and his wife Mary of Fredericton, Stephen and his wife Judy of Edmonton, Alberta, brother; Jack and his wife Bea of Clairmont, New Hampshire, two sisters; Clara Folkins of Sussex, Ethel McFarlane of Sussex; 14 grandchildren; Tim, Robert, Heather, Ashley, Kristine, Daniel, Michael, Kelli, Jennifer, Peter, Thomas, Brian, Connor, Riley; also by several nieces and nephews. Murray was predeceased by a Brother Walter and by a Sister Audrey Gaunce and Evelyn Matthews. The family will receive relatives and friends at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm . A service celebrating Murray's life will be held from St. Francis Xavier on Tuesday, December 07, 1999 at 10:30 am.
