Obituary of Douglas Harold Logan

Doug was born in Saint John on July 12, 1940 and was the son of the late Harold Bernard and Edith Cavell (Chapman) Logan. Doug was a retired painter and a proud husband, father and grandfather. He will live on in the hearts of his wife, Jean Baskin-Logan, his daughters: Tracy Logan and her fiancé Jason Farnsworth of Saint John, and Sherry Palk and her husband Barry of Pennhold, Alberta; his son, Shane Logan and his wife Marjorie of Saint John; his step children: Shelly Saulnier and her husband Tony of Moncton, Leslie Lewis and her husband Peter of Rothesay, Kimberly Arsenault and her husband Justin of Rothesay, Bill Horne of Rothesay, Tom Horne and his wife Heidi of Red Deer, Alberta, Michael Horne and his wife Janet of Saint John and Stephen Horne of Saint John; his grandchildren: Dawn Martin (Colin), Stacia Horne, Rachelle Horne, Michael Palk, Brandon Palk, Corey Logan (Amy), Megan Logan (Logan Strongach), Franklin Horne, Miranda Horne, Jessie Horne, Kayla Horne, Jacob Horne, Ryan Sauliner, Ashton Sauliner, Taylor Lewis, Paige Lewis, Caleb Logan and Alexander and Emma Farnsworth; his great grandchildren: Calista, Jacob, Grace, Amelia, Sarah, and Grace; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mr. Douglas Harold Logan of Sussex passed away at his home on October 20, 2013 at the age of 73. He is predeceased by his brother, Bernard Logan, who passed away in 2009 and by his first wife Ruth (Hawkins) Logan, who passed away in 2010. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22 from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A service celebrating Doug's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 1:00pm. The interment will take place at Gosline Cemetery, Knightville.
