Obituary of Irene Davis

Irene Pearl Davis was born in Belleisle Creek on December 16, 1927; she was the daughter of the late Allen Northrup and Mae (Campbell) and was the wife of the late Alvin Davis who passed away in 1979. Irene took great pride in her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She enjoyed her visitors and would often say "What's the hurry?" when they were getting ready to leave and begin a new conversation. She was caring, loving and giving. Her door was always open for a chat, place to stay or simply a meal. When her vision was good she loved puzzles, knitting, quilting and crafting. She loved going out with Linda on Friday nights to the country music at the Legion. Irene would watch out the window daily for her homemaker Lorraine to arrive and enjoyed her company immensely. She always bragged about the places she would take her, whether it would be somewhere here in town or to the city. Irene was always so proud of her latest up to date fashion, wearing nothing but the "in" styles. Loving her lipstick and makeup especially her bright pink blush, she always called, her "rouge". Even when she was in the hospital on her weakest days she would always request her cream be lathered on her face to help prevent her wrinkles. At age 82 she fought a hard and tough battle fighting right to the end. Irene was beautiful, intelligent, classy, strong and stubborn woman who will be missed very much by anyone who had the privilege to know her. Irene is survived by her daughter, Linda Doyle and her husband Carl of Sussex, four sons: Richard and his wife Lois of Norton, Ray and Nancy of Sussex, Reg of Sussex and Brian of Plumweseep; her brother: Ray Northrup and his wife Jean of Ontario; three sisters: Susie Lockhart and her husband John of Belleisle Creek, Ethel Marr and her husband Ray of Evandale and Alice Thorne and John Vautour of Sussex; her sister-in-law, Margaret Northrup of Norton; 13 Grand-children: Randy Melanson and his wife Yvette of Miramichi, Grant Boyd and his wife Wanda of Jemseg, Robbie Boyd and his wife Louise of Canaan Rd and Charlene Aiton and her husband Stephen of Searsville, Carla Doyle and Wayne Folkins of Berwick, Carlene Doyle and Noel Chown of Gibbon Mountain, Charlene Adair and her husband Shane of Sussex, Lacey Doyle and Tyler Pearson of Apohaqui, Jason McCleary of Norton, James Davis and his wife Yayumi of Edmonton, Rebekah Davis of Saint John, Amanda Davis of Pleasant Ridge and Shannon Phillips and her husband Greg of Saint John; sixteen great grandchildren: Johnny, Kayla, Brandon, Rebecca, Brittany, Courtney, Tyrel, Jesse, Michael, Wyatt, Rhayelyn, Landin, Jorja, Brogan, Isaak, Julian and Alexis; as well as several nieces and nephews.
