Obituary of Kevin Russell Bond

Mr. Kevin Bond was born on May 16, 1957; he was the son of the late Russell and Leola (Flewelling) Bond and the beloved husband of Judy (Thomas) Bond. Born in Toronto and the family later spent some time in Peterborough, Ontario where they made many life long friends. In 1961, they came back to New Brunswick and settled in Kingston and later moved to Codys in 1976. He attended Belleisle Regional High and began his working career. Kevin was a jack of all trades; he took a course in masonry, worked for a brief time for NB Power, a construction worker for Denis Gamache, sold pottery for Crafted Images Pottery throughout the Atlantic provinces and later worked on the water trucks for PCS. Throughout his other career choices, Kevin followed in his fathers footsteps and became a well known and respected Auctioneer. In 1999 he became the owner and operator of Bonds Auctions, which has been in business for over 50 years. He had a love of antiques and a wealth of knowledge which he shared with all. He had many passions including his love of writing, collecting Deichmann Pottery and Beatles Memorabilia, spending time at his camp or in his 1960's man cave, singing or watching his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. Kevin was a local historian and loved to travel. He always looked forward to his time at farmer's markets working alongside his son with Nathanial Bonds Produce. Kevin will live on in the hearts of his loving wife Judy; his son, Nathanial Bond and his mother, Heather McAlpine of Codys; his brother Allan Bond of Kars his sister Sylvia Crothers and her husband George of Gondola Point; his chosen sister, Rhonda Stevens of Salmon Creek; as well as by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Kevin Bond owner of Bonds Auctioneers passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on February 21, 2017 at the age of 59. Kevin is also predeceased by his parents: Russell and Leola Bond; his son, Eric and by Glendon Dann who was like a brother to him. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Friday from 1-3 and 6-8.
