Obituary of Rupert Glenfield Stevens

Mr. Rupert Glenfield Stevens was born on August 5, 1915 in Coles Island, NB. He was the son of the late Thomas John Stevens and Violet Agnes (Keirstead) Stevens.

Rupert will live on in the hearts of his wife, Alice Margaret Stevens; his daughters: Donna Dickson and her husband Bill of Chatham, Lynda Kilpatrick and her husband Ralph of Quispamsis, Lorna Stevens and her husband Joe Albert of Saint John, Bonnie Appleby and her husband Eldon of McDonalds Corner, Margaret St. Pierre and her husband Bert of Bradley Lake, Anna Marie Stevens and her husband Gerry Keirstead of Gibbon Mountain and Heather Stevens of Coles Island; his sons: Beverly Stevens and his wife Margaret of Springfield, Brian Stevens and his wife Elizabeth of Saint John, Leonard Stevens and his wife Ronda of Codys, Ernest of Saint John and Craig and his wife Lorraine of Goose Bay Labrador; his brothers: James Stevens and his wife Evelyn of Coles Island and Holly Stevens and his wife Stella of Coles Island; his sister, Marguerite Stillwell and her husband Bug of Chipman; 22 grandchildren; one great grandson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Mr. Rupert Glenfield Stevens of Coles Island, passed away at the Sussex Health Center on September 1, 1993 at the age of 78.

 

Along with his parents he is predeceased by his brothers: Archie Stevens, Monte Stevens, Cecil Stevens and Bill Hawker and by his sisters: Wavy Connell and Betty Campbell

 

Arrangements were entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176).

A service celebrating Rupert’s life was held from Coles Island United Baptist Church on Saturday, September 4, 1993.
