Obituary of Phyllis McFarlane

Mrs. Phyllis McFarlane was born in Cornhill she was the daughter of the late Clair and Etta (Rouse) Dunfield.

Phyllis and Donnie had several cats and dogs as their family pets. They had several ponies and gave pony rides at many local fairs during the 1950's and showed pinto horses at horse shows in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and PEI during the 1960's and 70's.

They also owned the first complete Silver Parade Saddles in the area. Phyllis graduated in 1953, she worked for the Royal Bank, Department of Transportation and had several secretarial positions, she was also the owner and operator of The Ranch House Convenience Store.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Don, her sister, Judy McCrea and her husband Jackie of Woodstock; her niece, Sherry Zarins and her husband Agris and her nephew, Shawn McCrea and his wife Jennifer; her great nephew, Riley and her great niece, Grace; her aunt, Mrs. Joe Edson and her Uncle, Raymond Burlock, her special friends: Bill Anderson and his wife Anne of Dutch Valley and Libby Nash and her husband Dave of Sussex.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176).
