Obituary of Hazen Bell

Hazen was born to Richard Bell and Bessie Blanche (Parlee) Bell in Sussex on September 11, 1919. He left home at an early age following death of his mother, he worked his way through the Annapolis Valley, returning to Sussex and then moved to Saint John where he began employment at the Dry Dock. Shortly, there after he enlisted in the Army and served overseas. Just be fore the War was over Hazen came home to Sussex on leave, before he could get back the war was over. So he returned to Saint John and the Dry Dock and was employed there for over 43 years; Hazen loved to tell stories of his experiences there. He retired in 1985 and enjoyed a long retirement.
