Obituary of Jean Muriel Folkins

Jean Muriel (Ganong) Folkins of Berwick passed away peacefully at the Sussex Health Centre on February 10, 2003.

Jean was the wife of the late Frank Folkins. Born at Snider Mountain August 19, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Sterling and Lillian (Sharp) Ganong.

She is survived by her sons Frank and wife Bev of Pleasant Ridge and Gerald and wife Marilyn of Saint John, step daughters Jean Steen of Saint John and Georgie Dunfield of Sussex, five grandchildren Heather, Wayne, Lisa, Gerald and Michelle, several step grandchildren, a sister Dorothy Belding of Saint John and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Jean was predeceased by a granddaughter Janice Gail and sisters, Iva and Marjorie Ganong.

The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.

The funeral service, conducted by the Reverend Warren Vollmer, will be held Thursday February 13, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the Wesley United Church, Berwick.

Interment will be at the Berwick Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy donations made to the Palliative Care Fund at the Sussex Health Centre or to the Wesley United Church, Berwick would be appreciated by the family.
