Obituary of Tony Thompson

 

Mr. Tony Van Thompson was born on April 19, 1949; he was the son of the late Joseph Thompson and Catherine (Cay) Brown.

 

His family moved to Penobsquis in 1950.  Tony attended the Penobsquis school.  He owned his first car when he was only 13 years old.  Tony loved fishing, hunting, playing guitar and singing.  He loved to spend time at home with his family and friends and he also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

 

Tony worked as a foreman for S.W. Weeks and was a very loyal employee to an equally loyal employer.

 

Tony will live on in the hearts of his wife, Linda Thompson; their sons; Troy and his wife Dawn of Penobsquis and Jason and his wife Kristina of Hampton; four grandchildren: Michael, Jessica, Kaitlin and Griffin; his brothers: Clive S. Thompson of Kingston and  Nicholas Thompson and his wife Nancy of Penobsquis; as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Mr. Tony Van Thompson of Penobsquis passed away at home on October 24, 2008 at the age of 59.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176).  

A service celebrating Tony’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Monday, October 27, 2008 at  2:00 pm.
