MacIntyre J. William “ Bill” The death of Bill MacIntyre of Penobsquis N.B occurred peacefully at his home on April 19, 2009 after a brief illness. Bill was born at Sydney N.S. in 1929 a son of the late John & Elizabeth ( Whelpley) MacIntyre. Bill worked in management for Canada Packers for 28 years prior to moving to Sussex in 1975 to operate the Timberland Motel and Restaurant where he remained active in the business until three weeks ago. He is survived by his wife Margaret ( MacAdam) MacIntyre, son Bill MacIntyre ( Cathy) of Riverview, daughters Donna Monahan ( Joseph), Patricia Ackerman ( Jim), Bonny Hill ( Alan), and Cathy MacIntyre ( Ulric Fournier) all of Sussex. Grandchildren Colleen, Michelle, Molly, and John Monahan; Kelly and Aimee Hill; Nikki and Liam Ackerman; Jake MacIntyre and Joey Fournier; and Riley MacIntyre. Sister Betty Treige and brother Duncan “ Jackie” MacIntyre ( Joan). He was predeceased by sisters Mary Ratchford, Rita Lachowiez and Margaret Jezsik. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex ( 506-433-2133) on Tuesday 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday April 22nd, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church, Sussex. Interment at Wards Creek Cemetery later in the spring.
