Obituary of Elouise Dyer

Elouise Dyer was born in Sussex on November 8, 1915; she was the daughter of Shirley Goddard, the wife of James Wesley Dyer who passed away in 1984 and the mother of Shirley Owens who passed away in 1997. Elouise worked at the Sussex Mercantile and the Sussex Post Office. After her retirement, she kept busy with her hands; she loved quilting, making pillows, painting and making artificial flower arrangements. She was the boss and everyone knew it, no matter what was being done, there was always a little tweak she would have to make to show that it was not the way she would do it. Elouise was a member of the Liberal Party before she was even old enough to vote and later became a member of the Ladies Liberal Association. She was a member of the the Sussex United Baptist Church where she was a member of the Fidelity Group.
