Obituary of Ronald I. WILSON

The death of Ronald Ivan Wilson occurred on January 31, 2007, peacefully at his home in Sussex, surrounded by his loving wife, children and grandchildren, who were honored to take their turn looking after him. Ronald was born at Stilesville, NB in 1929, a son of the late John and Theresa (Rogers) Wilson. He worked his entire life as a master mechanic in the mining industry throughout Canada and United States. He returned to New Brunswick in 1980 and worked at the PCS mine at Penobsquis until his retirement in 1994. Ronald is survived by his loving wife Hazel M. (Smith) Wilson, sons Tim and wife Rhoda of Sussex, Brian and wife Carol of Collinsville, Virginia, daughters Carol Fawcett and husband Robert of Sussex and Allison Whitters and husband Bill of Sussex, daughter in law Regina Wilson of Eccles, West Virginia, 13 grandchildren; Christopher, Shane, Scott and Joshua Wilson, Samuel and Izaak Wilson, Cole and Kelten Fawcett, Brittany, Michael and Chase Wilson, Rebecca and Sarah Whitters, 3 great grandchildren Michael, Kiersten and Zachary, sisters Minnie Hyslop of Shediac Road, Evelyn Williamson of Toronto, Olive Arsenault of Amherst, sisters in law, Barbara and Edith and several nieces and nephews. Ronald was predeceased by his son Chris Wilson 2007, granddaughter Catharine, sister Eunice and Lillian and brothers Fred, Orville and Lorne. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road Sussex (506-433-2133) on Friday 7-9 PM and Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday February 4, 2007 at 2:30 PM at the Sussex Wesleyan Church. Interment will be at Stilesville Cemetery in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Cancer Society or Sussex Elementary Playground Fund would be appreciated.
