The death of Gunnar Ravn occurred on March 29, 2005 at his home in Millbrook, NB following a brief illness faced with courage and dignity. He was born in 1929 a son of the late Arthur and Laura (Larsen) Ravn. Gunnar is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Lois Folkins Ravn and his five children: Christine (Humphrey) Sheehan, New Maryland NB, Mark (Laura) Ravn, Sussex Corner NB, Carol (John) Arnold, Sussex NB, Lorraine (David) Watson, Sussex NB, and Lloyd (Jodi) Ravn, Toronto ON. 13 grandchildren, Erin, Jennifer, John and Rebecca Sheehan; Cally, Zachary and Jacob Ravn; Jeremy and Michael Arnold; Bradley, Hannah and Evan Watson; and Eric Ravn. One sister Sara (Leonard) Folkins), Lacombe AB, and numerous nieces and nephews with whom he was very close. Also survived by several cousins, including special cousin and friend Sven (Else) Larsen, Baltimore MD. He was pre-deceased by his sister Ellen and his brothers Peter, Oluf and John. The family will receive visitors at the Sussex Select Community Funeral Home, 21 Aiton Road, Sussex, (506-433-2133) on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9PM. The funeral service will be held at St. John United Church, Sussex Corner on Friday April 1, 2005 at 2:00PM. Reverend Eugene Fisher officiating. Interment at Midland Cemetery later in the spring.
