Obituary of Linda Thompson

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Linda Irene (Proctor) Thompson announce her passing on June 8th, 2023, at the age of 72. Born in Sussex, NB, on November 24th, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ruby (Poxon) Proctor.

Linda loved nothing more than spending time with her family, gardening and most of all, spending time with the love of her life, Tony, of 38 years in Penobsquis, NB. Tony and Linda shared a love that was aspired to by many, from which two sons, Troy and Jason, had children of their own. Linda loved her children and grandchildren & great grandchildren, and would often bring them up in conversation whether it was necessary or not.

Linda is survived by her two loving sons, Troy (Dawn) and Jason (Kristina); her grandchildren: Michael, Jessica (Jay), Kaitlin, and Griffin (Jessie); and, her great-grandchildren: Carter and Connor Cook; her sister Pam (Rick) White of Saint John and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her husband Tony and enfant daughter Lisa.

Linda, by anyone that has spent even a moment with her, is regarded as one of the kindest, most thoughtful, people a person can possibly meet – her memory and legacy will live on through those that have had the pleasure of meeting such a wonderful person. She will be sorely missed, but forever celebrated.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). A Celebration of Linda's Life will be held from Penobsquis Baptist Church on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 3pm.
