Obituary of Germaine Sparks

It is with heavy hearts that the chosen family of Germaine Anthony Sparks announce his sudden passing at home with his dog, Bella by his side on November 15th 2023 at the age of 38.

Maine was born in Kentville, Nova Scotia on October 29th 1985 the son of the late Karen Sparks.

The proudest moment of Maine's life was becoming a dad. He loved his little man without fault and without question.

He was a kind and loving man with a huge heart. He was funny with a contagious smile and although he was a homebody he always wanted to be helping others. He loved to look after everyone else, especially his chosen family.

He was a gentle soul who loved to be in relax mode. With his sweatpants, hat and hoodie with a joint in hand, was his go to.

Germaine had a love for biking, he even biked to every one of his dialysis appointments an hour each way. He also biked from Berwick to his job at Nelson Monuments. He cherished the friendships he made there. He loved Tim Hortons. His large triple triples were a must.

His favorite place to be was with Jazmine, Jake and the kids and of course his dog Bella. Here is where he was always surrounded by love.

He will live on in the hearts of his little man, Germaine Jr. of Berwick; his chosen family: Jazmine Swinamer and her fiancé Jake Irvine and their children: Naomi and Nathan; his sisters: Jennifer Walsh of Wolfville, NS and Janet Walsh of Wolfville, NS; his paternal grandparents: Carolyn and Reg Walsh; his uncles: Joey Sparks of Nova Scotia, Eddie Sparks of Nova Scotia, Timmy Sparks of Alberta and Donnie Sparks of Nova Scotia; his special cousin, Dylan; his best friends: Courtney Higgins and Michael Walker and their kids: Autumn, Mackenzie and Emmett, and his beautiful dog, Bella.

Along with his mom, he is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Albert Sparks.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 22 from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A celebration of Germaine’s life will take place on Friday, November 24 at 2:00pm from the Wallace Community Chapel.
