Sonia Worster

Obituary of Sonia Worster

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sonia May Worster of Riverview, NB (previously of Sussex, NB) at Monarch Hall in Riverview on January 20th , 2024.

Sonia was born in London, England and spent her early married life in Harlow, Essex, England. In 1967 she moved with her family to Sussex, NB where she lived next door to her sister Ruby Gray. Sonia spent many years working for Drs. Khederi, Sullivan and Stephenson. Sonia loved to work in the garden and had a ‘way’ with plants and flowers but her main passion (other than her grandchildren) was working with miniatures. She was a long standing member of the Greater Moncton Miniatures Club where she made numerous friends from around the Maritimes. She was known far and wide for her very detailed miniature knitting and crocheting. Sonia would surprise her grandchildren each year with a personalized knitted sweater of various designs. She had a quick witted sense of humor, never shy with a song or rye and ginger. She was an amazing, fun loving, multi-talented (little but mighty) mother, grandmother, friend and person.

Sonia will be greatly missed by her daughter Karen Frontain (Brian), and her son Andrew Worster (Linda Robichaud). Her six grandchildren Erin Leger (Peter), Erika Frontain (Kevin Linegar), Emily Frontain (Warren Emmett), Adam Frontain (Britney Sears), Daniel Worster and Tristan Worster, and step great-granddaughter Marissa will all miss their Grandmum very much. She will also be missed by her two sisters, Joyce Alexander and Joan Berfield of England, her two nieces Sally Richards (NB) and Margaret Gray(PEI) , her four nephews Bob Gray (Ont.), Ian, Keith and Nigel Alexander and her cousin June Francis (England) Sonia was predeceased by her husband Ernest Worster, her son Mark Worster and her sister Ruby Gray.

Her family will receive friends and relatives for a Celebration of her Life at Wallace’s Funeral Home in Sussex on April 6 th , 2024, from 1pm to 3pm.

Donations in her memory can be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
