Obituary of Marguerite Sear

Mrs. Marguerite L. Sear of Scenic View Special Care Home, Fox Hill, New Brunswick passed away at her residence on Wednesday, October 25th,, 2006 in her 103 year. Born in Mount Middleton, NB on October 27, 1903, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mabel (Chapman) Patterson. Marguerite went to the United States from Canada to live in Everett, Massachusetts with her aunt and uncle, Suzie and Jim Urquhart. She got a job at the Forbes Lithograph Company in Everett, where she met Frederick Moulton. When they married, they resided in Everett for a few years. They then moved to West Medway, where her parents lived. Marquerite and Fred lived on Village Street for many years. They purchased a home of their own, in West Medway, in the late 40's. They lived there until Fred's death in 1960. There was a pine grove on the property, which they used as a picnic area. You would meet relatives and friends, new and old, at the picnics. What great times we had there. Marguerite and Fred belonged to the Episcopal Church where he sang in the choir and she played the piano. Marguerite always had a large garden of vegetables and flowers. There was also a few groundhogs around, to keep her hopping. But, they never got the best of her! Marguerite went on a visit to Sussex one day and met an old friend she hadn't seen for many, many years. He was the barber in Sussex, Roy Sear. He had also lost a spouse. They renewed their friendship and fell in love. They were married in August 1962. Marguerite never had any children of her own, but she ended her life with a fine family. When she married Roy, she also inherited a step-son, David Sear, a step-granddaughter Cathy, and a step- great granddaughter Katelyn. How lucky could one person be? Marguerite was blessed with 2 wonderful husbands in her lifetime. She is survived by her step-son, David Sear of Ottawa, Ontario, her step-granddaughter, Cathy Robitaille of Penetanguishene, Ontario, her step-great granddaughter, Katelyn, her nieces and nephews in the United States: Joanne Bove and Rita and Claude Muzarol of Medford, Massachusetts; Marie Battinelli of Somerville, Massachusetts; Ann Gause of Berwick, Pennsylvania; Marilyn and Robert Lenick of Granby, Conneticut; Harold and Marilyn Traynor of Modesto, California; David and Cathy of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and the late Robert Traynor of Narragansett, Rhode Island; Veronica and Edward McClellan of Westland, Michigan; Catello Battinelli of Somerville Massachusetts; Anthony Bove of Medford, Massachusetts; Karl Gause of Berwick, Pennsylvania.
