Obituary of Lewis Millar

Mr. Lewis "Dale" Millar of Sussex, NB passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on September 2, 2006 at the age of 67. Born in Quebec on December 6, 1938, he was the son of the late Harry and Winnifred Ascah Millar. Dale is survived by his beloved wife Vivianne Raymonde (Ouellette) Millar; 2 sons: Peter Millar and his wife Kathy of Alberta and Kevin Millar and his wife Marianne of Moncton; 2 brothers: Don of Guelph and Brian and his wife Ginny of Quebec; his sister, Nora Young and her husband Wilfred of Quebec; 4 grandchildren: Sarah, Danielle, Matthew and Konnor; as well as several nieces and nephews. Dale was a 4th degree and Past Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church. Dale enjoyed golfing, curling, was very active in his community and was past President of the Sussex Golf and Curling Club. He received his education in Quebec and began his mining career there. He worked in Saskatoon from 1966 to 1984 when he came to Sussex where he was a supervisor of Potacan Mining in Cassidy Lake.
