Obituary of Alma Cook

Mrs. Alma Cook of Portagevale Rd, Penobsquis, NB passed away at the Moncton Hospital on October 15, 2005 at the age of 80. Born in Annadale, New Brunswick on January 3, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruth (Scribner) Mallory and the wife of the late Verdon Cook . Alma is survived by her children; Valerie Orbic of Saint John, Amos and Georgina Patterson of Sussex, Sharon and Clay Weber of Penobsquis, Linda Patterson and George McKillop of Portagevale Rd. Glendon and Lila Patterson of Sussex and Heather Patterson and Fred Power with whom she resided. Alma is also survived by, 7 grandchildren; Paula, Tessa, Bobby, Karen, Tracy, Jeffrey and Lucas and by 7 great-grandchildren; Caitlan, Jessica, Geremy, Ryan, Nicole, Dustin and Dylan, as well as several nieces and nephews. Alma was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Alma enjoyed playing Bingo and Yard Sales. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). The family will receive relatives and friends at the Salvation Army Community Church on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm . The Funeral Service will be held from Salvation Army Community Church on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 10:30 am. The interment will take place at Coles Island Baptist Cemetery, Coles Island at 1:00pm As an expression of sympathy, donations made the Salvation Army or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
